Before you start n your holiday to the Maldives, you need to take a list of things that would be an expense for you during your holiday. Please do remember that you need things like swimwear, camera, sunglasses, suntan lotion, etc if you are traveling to the Maldives, but never think about unnecessary stuff like warm clothing etc as you are going for a tropical country.
After having the list with you set a budget which is realistic, taking account of possible things for which that you will spend during your stay. If you are someone who loves to dive, don’t forget that it costs for you. And also plan payments of any bills that might come before you leave from your country, so that you don’t have to suffer fines and charges on outstanding credit cards during your holiday.
When you are ready for a holiday, choose a resort island which will satisfy you during your stay. Make sure you think wise in choosing a resort as that is the most important thing for you to have a luxurious holiday. Even if you have to pay a lot on your room, that might not be up to the level you expect. So do not check the price before you check the availabilities and services.
Once you are ready to travel, once again make sure that you pack the right things and not unnecessary stuff to make your luggage heavy. You can only carry 20 to 30 kg in your luggage and 5 to 7 kg in your hand bag.
When you are in Maldives, please keep a track of your spending. Do not spend on unnecessary things. This doesn’t mean that you avoid spending and reduce the fun you could have. But, you can avoid things that you don’t really need. Also, please keep your valuable items like your passport in a safe place.
Though you are on a budget, doesn’t mean you are going to miss any fun you can have. You are limiting your spending on unnecessary things, not from the fun. So, enjoy diving, snorkeling, other water sports, fish tours, shopping for souvenirs, etc.
When it comes to the time that you have to settle up your payments, it might be shocking for you to see a hefty bill if you haven’t kept a track of your spending. Most probably it will not put you in to trouble if you have had a proper planning and do things according to the plan.
You can have a pleasurable holiday in Maldives, even if you are on a budget. Just stick to a budget and have a proper planning before you travel.
